DAQ hardware device not detecting in MAX

Hi,

We have a user that is having problems getting a DAQ PCI device detecting in NI-MAX. We're running the lastest version of Labview 2011 Q3 and have installed the following drivers:

I've had the user attemp this following fix the KB listed below, but they're stating that there is no directory present as per Step 5 - they've followed the instrucitons to disable hidden files:

Any ideas?

Allan.

Allan,

you should state which device you expect to find on the system. You know, not every device coming from NI is a DAQmx device....

EDIT: This question does not refer to LabVIEW, does it? So please post such questions in the hardware forums in the future. Thanks.

Hi Allan,

Which version of MAX is being used and what is the device name?

If it is MAX 5.0, go to Tools » Reset Configuration Data. This is the same as manually going through the steps.

Also in Administrative mode go to Control Panel>> Administrative Tools>>Services>> NI Device Loader>> Right click and click Start or Restart.
