I had 11 weeks to build the program and I had about 4 hours of labview experience (a year a go) so basicly started from scratch here. Learning labview and the DAQ and IMAQdx extensions + camera configuration with MAX + actually thinking out the program + ... takes time. I now have 3 weeks left on my internship and then I need to start writing my thesis. Although I get wat you mean (my code has shrunk a lot over the last weeks while getting more experience (using daq task instead of the daq assist and things like that) I just don't think I have enough time to do al this. If the program works and I have spare time in the end I'll clean up my code a bit further but for now I just need to get it working.... I think I'm on the right way so I'll continue my working method. The vi's are already in a project though and made some icons as well for my subvi's, making the inputs smaller is a good tip which I'll use (fast way to shrink code) and I might use the shift register trick instead of local variables as well these things are pretty easy to do but cleaning the whole thing up just takes too much time and I'm developing this for people who prefer the result over the means so if the program works they don't care how it works...
