Hi All,
I am using NI 9411(digital card) and NI 9203(analog card). when I set sampling rate at 1000Hz, everything works fine. But when I set sampling rate to100kHz, no data recorded. I am wondering what is the maximum sampling rate for the harfware(When I use MAX to simulate, I do get some data recorded).
Thank you!

Each module had a 200 kHz aggregate sampling rate. That mean the sampling rate is shared among channels being used. For example, if you have two channels, one channel is at 100kHz and the other 100kHz.

For example, there are 6 channels in NI 9411, 4 channel in NI 9203.
For 9411, the maximum sampling rate of each channel is 200khz/6?
For NI 9203, the maximum sampling rate of each channel is 200kHz/4?
Correct me, Please!
Thank you!

Hi,
How many chaneels you are using ?
Data acqusition depends upon your response time of physical system.. so sampling should be mapped accordingly..
Thanks

Hi H S,
I am using all 6 channels in NI9411 and 5 channels from NI 9203.
By physical system, do you mean the hardware before NI-DAQ card? My understand: maximum sampling rate depend on NI-DAQ card.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Then yes you are correct. The equation is:
Maximum sample rate per channel = Maximum aggregate sampling rate / number of channels being utilized

Yes you are correct Maximum sampling rate depends on DAQ .. my intention of saying was if your system response is slower then your acqusition rate you may have repeated data/ no data for few moments.. so take care at that front also ..

The sampling rate on the 9203 is 200kS/s aggregate, however, the sampling rate on the 9411 is 2Mhz as spec'd by the "Input delay time"

Hi All,
I know it's old topic but I want to make sure that I understand.
I have cDAQ-9174 and module NI-9411.
I'm about to purchase encoder so sampling rate is essential.
1) Input delay time - 500ns is actually sampling rate right? It means that sampling frequency is 2Mhz Correct?
2) I want to connect 4 differential channels encoder - that means that I have to divide 2Mhz/4 channels => 500khz, Correct?
3) In that case I can choose encoder up to 500khz? Or is it more complicated?
4) Chassis has something to do with it?
Thanks in advance 🙂
