DAQ subpalette mising?

I re-install LabView and evertime it "adds" DAQ. Something must be wrong. WinXP Pro, LV 6.1 pro, NI-DAQ 6.9.1.

Try uninstalling everything first. Uninstall it all through Add/Remove Programs. Then go into the registry and remove any NI Software componenents that may be left behind. They are located under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\National Instruments and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\National Instruments. Now, ALWAYS make sure that you create a registry backup before you remove anything.

If you follow these steps, your computer should be clean of most all of its NI references. Now go back and try doing a custom install of LabVIEW. Make sure that NI-DAQ is selected to install all components on your machine.

I found out that the NI-DAQ software, delivered togeather with the hardware (multifunction board NI 6035E) and installed before LabView, was of a newer revision than the NI-DAQ on the LabView distribution CD.
I tryed to reinstall all sw acording to manuals without success. Then i installed from the LabView disk only, and now all is working.

Another interesting notice was that the installation software on the NI-DAQ disk "talked" german. I don't, so i was a litle suspichous on that disk from start.
