DAQ

Hi, I'm having an issue viewing the DAQ assistant once my device is connected. Has anybody experienced a similar issue and has a solution? Thanks.

Hi stephen,

welcome to the forum!

I'm having an issue viewing the DAQ assistant once my device is connected.

Maybe you should tell use the type of the "issue"?

It's like asking a mechanic for "My car has an issue. Have you heard from other customers the same?"

Best regards,
GerdW

Once I have connected a thermocouple via the DAQ, the DAQ assistant isn't viewing via the inputs.

Hi stephen,

the DAQ assistant isn't viewing via the inputs.

Where does the DAQAssistent "view" anything?

Which inputs?

Please show your VI or atleast a snippet…

"Lesson learned": when having a problem with a VI you should attach that VI. This is much preferred over attaching just pictures of the block diagram. LabVIEW also provides "snippets", please look up that word in the LabVIEW help!

Best regards,
GerdW

And which DAQ board are you using?

Thermocouples are typically pretty low in signal and fairly constant.  You might just be trying to read at too high of a range.  But this is pure guessing without having a VI to look at.

As you can see from the attached screenshot, Once the Device is connected via the DAQ I am unable to view the DAQAssistant

Well that's weird!  We all thought you were talking about viewing data but you meant that the VI itself has disappeared.  Smiley Frustrated  The other VI missing is the Simulate Arbitrary Signal ExpressVI.

You say this happens when you connect your hardware?  Tell us exactly what hardware and how you have it connected.  What DAQ card (or USB module) and what kind of "device" are you connecting to it.  Are you saying this happens only when you connect a sensor to the physical DAQ card inputs???

Try to search on Instrument I/O ... Or simply use the search tool !

Im just using an NI Thermocouple input connected through a high speed USB carrier to the laptop USB port (converting the DAQ to USB). Once connected I simply can't see the DAQ Assistant, regardless of a search.
