DAQmx Acquire not opening

hey, guys! this is my first post, so please bear with me.

i'm having problems with how my DAQ poorly reads data from a thermistor i have. So, i decided to re- create the program i was running. but when i go to click on DAQmx Acquire, there is no icon for me to press. i re-installed the 1.5 Gb file for NI-DAQ but still, no dice. what's up?

Your image is confusing. Why are you using a function from the Signal Express palette? Use the DAQmx palette.
