DAQmx Base Linux with USB 9211 Build Problem

Hello,

I am using LabVIEW for Linux and DAQmx Base to read off a USB 9211 thermocouple unit.  I have a simple vi that works fine but after building it into an executable, when I try and run the executable I get an error (I believe it occurs in the beginning of the code where I am creating my task).  The error number is -1, it claims to be undefined but offers "This equipment cannot be configured with this option" (may not be verbatem).  Anyone come across this probelm before?  If so how did you get around it?

As an update, the error message is: -1(Not implemented for this device type).  This is strange because I can run the vi fine without generating this error, but once I have built the vi into an executable and try to run the executable I get this error message.  Any thoughts?

After doing a little research it seems as though this post may help, I will give it a try and post back with results for whoever comes across this problem after me.

Hi jmcbee,

This is a known issue that has been resolved in NI DAQmx Base 1.5 and later.  Please refer to this knowledge base article for more information.

Thank you for the reply.  I will give this a try tonight and let you know how I fair.  I am a little hesitant to say that this solution is a perfect fit to my problem but it is very possible that they are rooted in the same place.

Hello,

After a little checking I realized that I have NI DAQmx Base v2.x, I think 2.4 but not positive.  So this should not be the issue.  I tried to follow the suggested steps anyhow but I realized that "Click Tools » Build Application or Shared Library (DLL)..." that does not exist.  Any other suggestions?  Thanks.
