DAQmx Read with Time Out 1s causes crash when used in 10ms timed loop;

I'm using the NI example .../Period or Pulse Width/Meas Dig Period-Low Freq 1 Ctr.vi.

When I put the DAQmx Read with a certain time out inside a Timed Loop that has period less than the time out, I'm getting a crash of my RT target.

Ex: DAQmx Read with Time Out 1s causes crash when used in 10ms Timed Loop;

Please refer to the attachement.

However, no problem is seen when I use a regular While loop.

Goal here is to do continous (each 10ms) the period measurement of the incoming pulse train signal.

I was able to run your attached example without any problems.  What is the RT system that you are working with and what module are you using to measure the period of this signal?
