You need to provide more information on the situation, e.g., what kind of device you are using, the setup, etc.

Hi Ty,

Which card are you using?  You can go to www.ni.com and search for the board that you are using.  On the product page for that device, there's a specifications tab which will tell you what kind of triggering is available for your device.  If analog is not listed in there, then the error that you are seeing is expected.
