I'm trying to set up a triggering system in LabVIEW such that when a modal hammer is struck data acquisition (of both the hammer and an accelerometer) begins for a finite amount of samples. The relevant equipment is the cDAQ-9178 & NI 9233 module. I do not believe the equipment I have is capable of analog triggering. When trying to set up a digital triggering system to the modal hammer through one of the cDAQ's PFI slots the program runs indefinitely with no data being displayed. I believe this is because the digital triggering requires a ttl signal which the modal hammer doesn't satisfy but I am unsure. I've attached the VI I've been using to test the feature (barebones DAQmx).
Any insight is greatly appreciated,
