DAQmx scale location

Hello everyone,

I have the following problem. After a HD crash I want to use my VI on a new Computer. Everything with the VI is fine besides that the scales in the DAQmx Assistant are lost. I have a backup of the old HD on hands but I have no Idea where to look for the scale values.

Thanks in advance

Hi Noname76!

The correct way to back up the files is using the Max Export Wizard and create a .nce file. As stated in the next link:

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/4363A9766216C40886256E930070861D?OpenDocument

However given your current situation, i think you can try and copy the Ma Data folder which is stored at:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\MAX\Data\

Your best option is to try and copy the folder and check if then you can see the channels and the configurations of your scales correctly. Some things to consider are that the max version should be exactly the same in both PCs. Also you can try to copy some other files form the max folder, those that correspond to mxc, mxd, and mxs files are the ones related to Daqmx.

Hope this helps!
