DAQmx simulation not happening in MAX 4.5. any configuration manipulation needs to be done.?

I'm not able to simulate DAQmx on MAX 4.5.1 on right clicking the Devices and interfaces in MAX it shows create new but DAQmx does not show up. The installed DAQmx driver is 8.6.1. Is it that anything needs to be changed in the administrative tools?

please suggest.

Thanks

Rakesh,

DAQmx is a driver that handles hardware. Are you trying to simulate a particular DAQmx device?  From the options you want to choose Simulated NI-DAQmx Device or Modular Instrument, then select which device you want to simulate. Here's a great walk-through:

Hi Misha,

Well in the list there is no such option as simulated DAQm.

On the right click Create new shows up as seen in MAX1.jpg

and on click of Create new there are no such simulate options see MAX2.jpg

It doesn't look like you have DAQmx installed.

If you did, MAX would look more like this:

Hmm... I would try repairing the driver from Add/Remove programs > National Instruments Software > NI-DAQmx > Repair, and if that does not work, install a newer version of DAQmx - I see you have Labview 8.6, but DAQmx 8.6.1 only supports up to Labview 8.5, so you'd probably want a newer driver anyway.

Hi,

The problem got resolved. I reinstalled the driver and now it works fine.

Thanks
