DAQmx vs Traditional DAQ.. Questions

Since I finally received LabVIEW 8 I have started to upgrade my code. All my apps seem to be working fine in LV8. One of them has a couple of bugs that I need to work on but this one also is currently using Traditional DAQ vis as well. I have decided that now is the time to upgrade to DAQmx. I have PCI-6036E and PCI-6703 card but at DAQmx capable but my biggest concern is on my Dev system can I leave all the Traditional Channel settings and still execute my code in 7.1.1 with the traditional DAq, while I use create the DAQmx version in LV8 (different code locations obviously).

I don't want to lose functionality of my DEV system for these tests with 7.1.1

Hi Jeff-

There will be no problem with having Traditional (Legacy) NI-DAQ and NI-DAQmx installed on the same system at the same time.  The Traditional (Legacy) NI-DAQ channel settings will be unaffected by the installation and use of NI-DAQmx.  However, NI-DAQmx will not be able to utilize those Traditional (Legacy) NI-DAQ channels if that is what you're asking.  Regardless, your existing applications will continue to function properly as you move to developing in NI-DAQmx.
