DSC Lost All User Accounts

I have DSC application that uses security. The application has been running for many months without problems. Today, I can no longer log into the DSC security system. All of the users are gone. Typing a username in (including 'Administrator') doesn't work because I am never given the opertunity to enter a password. I am locked out of my application controls and configuration of DSC security.

The user account information is stored in the lookout.sec file. You should be able to find this file in your system32 directory. I would suspect that this file was somehow deleted. If you have a backup lookout.sec file, you can use it to replace the old one; otherwise, you'll need to recreate the user information.

Thank you for the tip, Kristi. I found that the file had not been deleted, but somehow became corrupted. The original file length was 1.5kb but I found the file length to be only 4 bytes. I replaced the file with a backup copy and everything is back to normal.
