when you are writing a "VI-based server" and you open a visa resource you (can) get in trouble, see also:

It seems to me, that a "VI-based server" behaves a bit like a built application.

I tried something and it works, but I do not really understand what I'm doing there,

especially the parameter "access mode" is not yet fully clear to me.
