Data streaming capability of VI Logger

Can VI Logger stream data to disk directly?
I would like to log a few  (2-5) AI channels continuously for about a week at 1Hz. Wasnt sure  whether VI logger will be able to do it and stream the data to disk.
If not what would be the best way to do it?

I use VI logger 1.1 on a PCI-MIO-16E-4.

VI Logger is a stand-alone data logger application designed for people who want to do data logging and retrieval without having to write a program.  VI Logger logs data directly to the NI Citadel Database which is a proprietary database designed specifically for streaming measurement data to disk quickly and efficiently.  VI Logger should work well for your application.  However, if you need more direct control over exactly how your data is written to disk, I would recommend writing your own acquisition and logging program using LabVIEW.  Also the latest version of VI Logger is version 2.0, which adds the ability to easily export and view your data in Excel.
