Datalog File - error 116

Attached is  a program I wrote that reads vibration signals, displays their respective graphs, and then writes that graph to a datalog file.  However, every now and then I get the Error 116 message, and cannot figure out why.  The best way to replicate the problem is to run the program, enter some text in the boxes, and save that file.  Then repeat the process so you have 2 datalog files to read.  Then open the "Data Reader" VI and open data file #1. Close the entire program, and open data file #2.  Repeat this process until the Error 116 appears.  Any suggestions?  Even when the error occurs, the information is still displayed, but I need to get the bug fixed.

I tried to get it to fail like you said and saw no problems.

Can you demo the problem another way?

I just ran the FFT program, logged one point and then open the Data Reader to view that point.  I then proceeded to open and close the Data Reader program using that same point I recorded.  The error message came on the 4th open of the Data Reader program.  Please note that the FFT was still running in the background.  Also, I am opening and closing the Data Reader program, not just stopping and running it again.  The error does not happen everytime, as you can see it took 4 tries for me today.  I  hope you can replicate the problem now.

Thank you,

I tried at least 20 times!

Are sure you are not selecting the wrong file? Nah, that is another error.

Jeff, in this post, someone was experiencing the same error message and it was resolved after upgrading to LV 8.0.1.  Could you see if installing that patch and mass compiling resolves anything?

Yes, I just found that post this morning and I did install the LV 8.0.1 patch and then mass compiled and everything is fine now.  Another interesting point is that I can run the programs on my laptop with no problems at all (never installed the patch on my laptop) ?  Anyways, thanks for both of your guys help, that was driving me crazy!!!

Thank you......!!!
