Datasocket & built applications

I was wondering if there is a way to tell if the run-time engine installation has added the files necessary to run applications with datasocket functions? I have seen some posts on the topic here on the forum but none that is recent that would apply to LabVIEW 8.2. I have recently run into an issue which I suspect is due to a run-time engine installation not being complete. The application runs but datasocket related functions seem not to work properly.

Thanks!

Hello!

When you create an installer in LV 8.x you can add additional installers and here you can add NI Datasocket to your installer so it is installed on your client computers.

Thanks Jimme!

Instead of creating my own installer again (I now noticed the check box in the application builder that will include the Datasocket features) I decided to download it from the NI site here.

You can check the Start Menu to see if DataSocket support has been installed.
