I have a bit of the OCD and like to have my numbers in the center of the control/indicator. Is there a default option for this?
I read a few posts that talk about creating a custom controls and putting them in the user controls palette.
But I fear it is in the same category as having a "," to separate thousands (1,000) option. And yes I have made vi's for comma separators just so I would feel better.
That is how I currently justify to center. I know I can also use a property node.
Currently when I create a control/indicator the default justification is left. When I create a control/indicator I want the default justification to be center. Not have it default left and have to change it to center.
There has to be an option or ini file that says the default is left, because it is always created with left justification.
This is something I have wanted for a long time, although I prefer right justification for numerics. You might add it to the Idea Exchange or check to see if something similar is already there.
This is something that is not currently available. If you look at the LabVIEW Help file for the Font Style Dialog Box, available in Tools>>Options>>Enviroment>>Fonts Font Style, this would be where you would do this, but the help file explicitly states that it is not available.
I would suggest it in the idea exchange, and/or file a product suggestion for the idea.
Thanks for the response Stephen. I looked into the option page you talked about and was surprised to see the option is there but it is disabled. I did put in a product suggestion and will look into the idea exchange later. In my suggestion I also noted that it would be nice to have control over the different types of indicators. That way I could have numbers be centered and have text still justified left.
