Deploy Library - OPC - Error

Hi,

I am trying to programmatically deploy a library in an application. Via the development system everything works correctly (autodeploy is disabled) but if I try to do that in an application I get the Error from the attached screenshot (error_1.jpg). What is the reason for it? Enabled the advanced dsc runtime support doesn't help. I am developing with LV 8.5 Device Drivers 8.6 und DSC 8.5. I have also attached my dummy-project with the source-code and the build (dummy.zip). Has somebody a hint? What I am doing wrong?

Kind Regards,
Joachim

Hi Joachim082,

I'm not certain about what could cause this error, but it could have something to do with an corrupted project or library file.  Can you reproduce the error starting from scratch using a new project and new library?  This was reported to R&D (# 95784) for further investigation.

Hi nickf,

Yes I can reproduce the error - both the project which I attached in the last posting (dummy.zip) and the now attached (dummy2.zip) causes the same problem. The error occurs even if I only define my opc-client in the lvlib without making any opc-binding variables. On the computer where this library shell be deployed we only have the dsc runtime 8.5 - no deployment via the project is possible. Is there a workarround?

Thanks for your reply.

Kind Regards,

Joachim

Hi Joachim,

I'm unable to reproduce the problem with LabVIEW + DSC 8.5 or LabVIEW + DSC 8.5.1.  I tried both "dummy" projects, but each works as expected.  Are you using a non-English version of LabVIEW or a non-English OS?  If so, which?  Have you tried repairing the DSC and LabVIEW installations?

Best Regards,

Hi,

I am developing with the English LV-Version and my OS is WinXP German.

Hi,

The error occurs because during the process of the programmatically deployment of the library the application Variable Manager was opened. If I close the VarMan and start the deploying process again everything works correctly. Might it be a bug?

Kind Regards,

Hi Joachim,

I still can't reproduce this error.  However, I have reported the issue as report #95784.

I'm using LabVIEW + DSC 8.5.1
