Just got back from uni but I was having problems locating some of the features, I know it must sound crazy that!! But I did get a chance to speak with the tutor, so hopefully IL get something working and report back tomorrow:)

If you open the LabVIEW Help (in the upper right of the tool bar Help:LabVIEW Help, and looking under contents "Getting Started with LabVIEW" will probably be a good place to start. LabVIEW is, obviously, a different animal than most other computer programming languages/environments, so it takes a little getting used to.
