I came across this community nugget which is an Event based messageing framework.

I'm just wondering if this type of architecture may be a good way of implementing this client side program.
I understand that there are many different ways of implementing the same thing, but I'm hoping if someone have come across any other design implementation ideas that is better suited for my program scenario.
