Distributing IVI with LabVIEW Applications

Hello All

I have a run-time application built using the LabVIEW run-time application
builder. The application appears to run fine apart from the parts that use
the IVI drivers. I have not yet installed the IVI Driver Library onto the
host PC as I was not sure of the licencing situation and because I thought
that the necessary dlls with current configuration would automatically be
included in the run time build.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what my best approach would be. Should I
just install the whole IVI software on the host PC (would this contravene
the licence agreement) or does anyone know what support files are required
and where they should go?

I am using LabVIEW v.5.1 and my problem is with the driv
ers for the hp34401a
and hp363xa instruments using the serial port with the ASRLx::INSTR names.

I would be very grateful for any assistance as my deadline for getting this
thing working is rapidly approaching!

Cheers

Dave

You may just need the IVI runt-time engine. It is a free download from ni.com.
No licencing problem. The IVI toolset is just for the developement system.
