Do I need Labview installed to run a Labview exe

Hi,

I have a Labview 7.1 executable. I want to know the minimum Labview installation required to get this exe running. I am guessing I don't need the whole Labview 7.1 and its drivers installed.

Sharmila,

There is much debate over the minimal set of support files needed for a LabVIEW EXE, because it can vary depending upon which software functionality is used (even if no hardware is used).

If you have no particular concerns about size and installation overhead, you are best advised to formally install the LabVIEW 7.1.1 run-time engine on the target system.

If you really don't want to have that footprint, then you can check out other threads here about what run-time engine files you need to manually install to support the app. The most recent thread about this was yesterday...
