Do you need LabVIEW runtime Library to run the dll compiled by LabVIEW?

I'm creating this Database uploading program in VB. I found that it's very easy to write image type upload from LabVIEW to SQL databse. So far I was able to create dll files from LabVIEW for VB to use. I'm wondering whether there will be a future problem if I distribute the program using these dll's without have LabVIEW run-time engine installed.

The run-time engine is required for both exe's and dll's created by the application builder.
