Does SIT3.0 support cRIO-9201 ?

Hello,

I try to make Compact RIO work a Simulink model using SIT3.0.
When I use cRIO-9201 to acquire analog voltages, I have a problem. It would be helpful to me if you would take a moment to respond to me.

In my understanding, when SIT Connection Manager generates codes in which the target is cRIO, SIT connection manger apply the calibration VIs for each cRIO modules in a below library.

\\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.0\vi.lib\addons\Simulation Interface\_IOTypes\NI FPGA\FPGA IO VIs\sitfpga cRIO calibration 8.0.llb

I would like to use cRIO-9201, but there are not calibration VIs for cRIO-9201. Does SIT3.0 support cRIO-9201?

For example, when SIT connection manager generate codes for cRIO-9201, it seems to refer sitfpga Calibrate 9215 Sample I16 to I16.vi and sitfpga Convert 9215 AbsCal to RelCal.vi to calibrate 9201. By refering incorrect calibration VIs, cRIO-9201 cannot acquire correct voltage value with SIT.

By contrast, I checked readme.html of SIT 3.0.1 at a below link, but SIT 3.0.1 does not support cRIO-9201.

Does SIT3.0.x or future SIT support cRIO-9201? Or can I customize calibration VIs for cRIO-9201 ?
I hope I will hear from you sometime soon.

Thanks

Hello,

Thank you very much for using our products. I have checked with the documents and found that the SIT 3.0 or 3.0.1 do not support cRIO-9201. This is the reason for not being able to use the calibration VIs for cRIO-9201. NI certainly would like to add the support for cRIO-9201 with SIT, but at this moment I am not sure when that will be.

By using the property nodes of FPGA , you can acquire the LSB weight and offset information for each channel in cRIO-9201. You can pass these informations to a cluster, and use these calibration data to the Real Time VI to acquire correct readings from your channel. Please see the attached Word file , where the VIs for FPGA and RT are showed. Ignore the parts in the VIs for analog output.

Thank you.

Hello Tanvir,

Thanks for your valuable response, I got LSB weight, offset and other calibration data from actual cRIO-9201 as you mentioned, and changed calibration VIs. At result, cRIO-9201 still acquired incomplete data.

In first, the data in which cRIO-9201 acquired using cRIO-9215 calibration VIs are nonlinear for actual voltage values. By contrast, using LSB weight and offset from cRIO-9201,  acquired data by cRIO-9201 are linear for actual voltage value but not equal to actual voltage values.

Perhaps Using LSB weight and offset for cRIO-9201 cannot calibrate A-D converted data completely.  Anyway, I can apply these data because acquired data with cRIO-9201 are linear for actual data values. (The linear data is easy to fit actual data)

Thanks,
