Does Windows XP support VISA serial communication in LABVIEW6.0?

My VISA serial communication vi doesn't work on Windows XP. It worked normally on Windows 98 and Window 2000. I want to know whether LABVIEW6.0 VISA is compatibal with Windows XP. Thanks

If you're using the version of VISA that shipped with LabVIEW 6, then you'll have to download something more recent. You can get it here

LabVIEW 6.0 (ships w/ VISA 2.5) and VISA 2.5.2 were released prior to the release of Windows XP, so it does not officially support Windows XP. However, we have been able to test it with this operating system, NI-VISA 2.5.2 and LabVIEW 6.0 install and load properly on Windows XP.

Serial and ethernet hardware should work fine, except for known issues that would be seen on any Win32 operating system

NI-VISA 2.6 and LabVIEW 6.1 (ships with NI-VISA 2.6) are the first versions that officially support Windows XP.
