Dont Know how to Configure EXT Trigger In NI4472

Hai All,

Iam New To DAQ NI4472 for PCI card. In that NI 4472 card iam going to use External digital Trigger to start and stop the data accquisition. To enable the digital trigger what are the steps i need to do?.How much (frequency/voltage level) i need to give to trigger input? and any other is needed?. Any way is there to see the result in Measurement and Automation Explorer Version 4.5 .If there what is the configuration setting? can any one help me......

Hi,

    There are two types of triggering,  one in which a channel itself is utilized to trigger other channels challed as analog triggering; the other being digital pulse triggering wherein a special line is reserved for triggering purposes. Kindly see this forum for more information.

This manual of 4472 has more information on connections to be made and other details on page 37.
