no i do not have these specific passwords. I am just talking in general about downconverting lvlibs.
In the original post there was nothing mentioned about passwords.

Last I looked you could not back save anything that was password protected.

Sorry for reigniting this 4 YO thread...
If you see the snapshot in the OP's post, the Library Save for Previous method did not have the Version input, which is present in the above snapshot.
So that is the clear difference I get to see, which was what the OP's requirement as well; not the option to back save password protected VIs.
