I would like to downgrade a student license of LabVIEW 2018 to LabVIEW 2017. I recently purchased this license, and the only purchasing option is LabVIEW 2018. However, my DAQ is a legacy unit, and will not work with DAQmx drivers newer than 17.5. Is it possible to downgrade my student license? I know that it is possible to downgrade a full, professional license. I want to downgrade a student license. Thanks!

Your 2018 license should be good for any older version as well. At least it is for all of the Professional versions. I have trouble believing it is different for Student.

Hard to believe, but it seems that the student license does not have all of the same upgrade/downgrade rules as the base, full, or professional licenses. I'm wondering if there is a way to downgrade despite the standard method not being an option. See attached screenshot.

Typically SSP is included for the first year (not sure about the student edition, though). I would contact NI.

Unfortunately, the student edition does not even entitle me to submit a service request to NI. If anyone knows another way to contact them, I would appreciate a heads-up.

I'm pretty sure the student version is only for the most recent version of LabVIEW. At least that's how it was when I was in college a year ago.
