Downgrading VISA

I upgraded to VISA 3.1 to pick up USB driver connectivity. For another reason, however, I need to get back to VISA 2.6. How do you do this! There does not appear to be an uninstallation option in windows for VISA. I downloaded VISA 2.6 and tried to install it over 3.1 but it did not work. Any recommendations would help. Thanks

The uninstall for VISA should be available from Add/Remove Programs>National Instruments Software. Also, just to satisy my curiosity, what is the reason you need to install an older version?

Hi Jim,

You may have to use your installation CD and unselect the VISA as part of the installation package. It will proceed by removing the "unselected" applications.

I haven't tried this with VISA, but this is how the "uninstall" feature worked with other NI products.
