Dragging a VI from File Explorer to Block Diagram

Is dragging a VI from a File Explorer window to a block diagram not working in LV 2020 SP1? I use this feature all the time, and it works in LV 2018SP1 and in LV 2020.  However, I just upgraded to 2020 SP1 a couple of weeks ago and it seems like it doesn't work anymore -- I can't drag anything to the block diagram from my File Explorer.  I even did a fresh 2020SP1 install on a computer that's never had LabVIEW on it and it has the same issue.

Opening a VI and dragging the VI icon over to another block diagram still works, but that kind of defeats the purpose.

I'm using 2020 SP1 and can definitely drag it both from Windows Explorer and the LabVIEW Project explorer without any issue.

There's a good chance I am wrong, but I seem to remember that this had something to do with admin rights.  Like maybe LV wasn't installed with admin rights, or something along those lines.  I don't remember - this was a long time ago.

I see the same thing on one computer. (LabVIEW 2020 SP1, 64bit)

Works fine on another computer (also LabVIEW 2020 SP1, 64bit)

I don’t usually use that functionality Biut noticed that it stopped to work on several systems in the past including in Virtual machines  Not being a real user of it it didn’t really bother me enough to investigate. It’s in LabVIEW versions as far back as 2016 (but not sure it wouldn’t show up on older versions on those systems). It seems to be something about the systems itself as I noticed similar effects with other applications than LabVIEW.

I always felt that the Windows File Explorer was a terrible application and pretty much assume that it’s mostly a f^ck up by it more than from LabVIEW.

As I mentioned earlier, I seem to remember from a long time ago that it may have something to do with user permissions somehow.  It was so long ago that I forget what exactly it was.  It was something weird like LV not having admin rights or something like that.  Has anyone looked at that possibility yet?

As an additional clarification to the above two data points, it works on windows 10 enterprise and does not work on windows 10 home ( ... but this is not statistically sufficient data to draw conclusions, of course). I'll look into permissions.

Whenever I run LabVIEW as admin, I have the same problem.
