Driver or protocol for Waters 490E

I have an old Waters 490E "Programmable Multiwavelength Detector that I
would like to run from LabView. If somebody has a driver for this it
would be wonderful, but just the protocol for the IEEE-488 port on the
instrument would enable me to build a system.

In LabVIEW you can use both the VISA and GPIB functions to programm IEEE-488 instruments. Is this the protocol you were looking for? I am unaware of a LabVIEW instrument driver for this instrument.

I am looking for the "codes" sent over the IEEE-488 to make the
instrument send its measurements. These are aparently kept secret, in
order to sell the Waters software for the instrument.
