E:\lv45\mgsource\memory.c" line 604

hi

We use vi since 2000 on PXI chassis and now, we are experiencing problem from time to time (and sometime everyday).  We use labview on Windows NT.  We sometimes have this error : E:\lv45\mgsource\memory.c" line 604 (we dont have a E:\ on the hard drive).  Since 2-3 weeks, we also have an error of Doctor Watson generated by Labview.exe at adress 0x0000000c.... And often a blue screen after that.  We are running a .exe or .llb (from labview).

Do anyone experience this kind of problem?  Do you have some explanation that could help me resolve that problem.

Thanks alot

Caroline,

I can't find any information on this particular error, but what version of LabVIEW are you using? It must be a very old version and an upgrade may be in order. Also, what is this executable doing and does the VI that this executable was built from give any errors?

Hi Caroline,

I'm sure you've considered this but your post begs the question: what's changed since 2000?  The problem sounds intermittent, could be hardware going bad - can you test the RAM?  Do you have (the luxury of) another PXI chassis/controller to temporarily test with?  In general, have there been any changes to the software environment like changes in MAX, or to the OS?.  Any new software running beside the test-app?  Any new/replaced PXI devices?

Cheers

hi

Well, I forgot to say that we have 3 other setups, exact copy of the one which is going badly.  We are running on labview 5.0.

As a matter of fact, we have try changing the computer block with another, and (cross finger) everything seems ok (it is running since yesterday and no error yet).  We will try on the "defect" computer block on the spare chassis and look if anything else appears, or if it's ok.

Thanks for your time

Caroline
