Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I am using the built in Labview example "Send Email using SMTP CLIENT" and i am trying to send email using gmail server.

I have made basic changes into the gmail settings watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-NYmDWiFjU

But i am getting the error in connection with the host server. I have attached its picture so you can have a better idea of it.

Can anyone please guide me what shall i do to overcome this error message.

Thanks in advance

Ensure Enable TLS is true and use port 587.

Can you check if less secure apps access is enabled as per the following comment:

I recently needed to do this and got different errors.  So this may or may not help you.

Try logging into gmail through a browser on that PC first.  I got an error where my username and password were rejected even though they were correct.  Turns out Gmail was rejecting e-mails from devices it did not recognize.  Once I logged in through the browser and went through the device authentication process, my app started working.

Hello Abuzar,

Ensure you turned off all the virus protection programs you have e.g. Kaspersky. That will usually cause the SMTP to not work properly.

Add 273 on whatever Celcius said.

I have tried all, but its not working. I believe the main reason behind might be of my location. As i am using it in China where all the google products are ban.

While i have tried it using VPN but still didn't worked.

I think better to change the server.

Any advice how can i use the outlook.com to create the same SMTP server.

Thanks a lot to all of you.

So, finally using the Outlook, it worked. I believe that the main reason was my destination. i.e. china.
