I would like to edit an Express VI. I know that in general, this is possible (via Create or Edit Express VI) . However, the VI I would like to edit is the "Simulate ECG" Express Vi in the Biomedical Toolbox. When editing, I get an error message saying that I can't copy a VI from a licensed toolbox... I'm paraphrasing. Is there another way to save a copy of the Simulate VI so that I can edit it?
I know that I can edit the VI, and I know that if all else fails I can uninstall the Biomedical Toolbox and reinstall, but I would like to be able to have a working copy for use in other, un-related VIs... any suggestions?

Hi slow,
Are you looking to retain the Express VI functionality (with the Express VI configure dialog), or are you simply trying to use the code contained within the express VI?

Ultimately, I'm trying to make sure that I have an archived copy so that when I edit the Express VI's functionality, I can go back to a "known good state".

The Simulate ECG VIs are contained within the NI_BMTK_Acquisition.lvlib LabVIEW library. I was able to save a copy of them by opening NI_BMTK_Acquisition.lvlib and choosing to "Save As" a copy to a new location.
NI_BMTK_Acquisition.lvlib can be found in <LabVIEW>\vi.lib\addons\Biomedical
