Hello,
I need to configure a slide, which is to be used as a targeting device for an ultrasonic sensor under test.
I have an Emerson Epsilon IP 202 controller, and need to use Labview to do some simple functions,
such as home, and setting three different target distances.
The Labview software for test is already created and in use, using 2 stationary targets. I'm installing a sliding target for
better accuracy and adjustable target distances.
I'm very unfamilar working with Servo motors. While I can do what I need to do with the suppllied "Protools' software
and the controller, I'm pretty much at a loss to implement the target using Labview.
The sales rep recommended Modbus, and I have a lengthy reference to the commands.
When I do a search ( here ) the information seems dated, the links don't work, etc.
Can anyone tell me - is there a relatively painless way to send these basic commands I mentioned above ?
Perhaps a 'canned' routine someone could point me to, or at least some short cuts I might not be aware of as a novice ?
