Enable Application Builder

Hi,

    I can't seem to get the application builder to show up on my machine. The application builder shows up with LabView 8 on other machines we have here, which are all under the same license, but on this particular one it does not. I attempted to reinstall from the CD. Once I entered my serial number the installer brought me to a screen where I could choose to install the software I wanted. The only options available were LabView as a whole and something else. I didn't see anything regarding application builder. I also tried using the installer under a different serial number to see if it would allow me to install the Application builder. Any ideas?

Could you try checking to see if the files for application builder exist on disk? Try looking at <LabVIEW>\resource\Framework\providers\builds and see what the contents of that directory are. You may want to compare that list to one of the machines that has it working.

Also, when you say that there is no sign of application builder, what do you mean by that? Unable to create build specifications in the project? Unable to import build scripts?

I had the same problem. Ive upgraded from 7.1 to 8.0 You have to register apllication builder from NI license manager. If your serial for application builder wont work, contact NI support and they will generate a new one for you  (only if you have payed for application builder off course 😛 )
