Equipment calibration with Labview

We are buiding an automatic and semi-automatic test stand to calibrate
several types of components (VOM,DVM,Frequency meters, etc) thru Standard
Calibrators. The Calibrator and some components have remote control via
GPIB.We have a computer with GPIB card from National Instruments.
Its possible to do step by step tests with LabView?
We need,of course, some intervention of operator in semi-automatic
tests. Its like the Met/Cal software from Fluke.
We need custom formated report generation of tests results.
Will we need the Test Executive(how works that)?
Any help will be wellcome
TIA
