Error -1073807298 for USB-Serial adapter on Windows XP only

I get this error only on the machine with Windows XP. The whole setup works well with Windows 2000 and 98. I am not using Configure VISA VI on either of the machines. Also, the COM ports on XP machine are working fine.

There are several common causes of this error.
1) The resource name may be incorrect.
2) Some of the subvis in your program may broken 'Run' arrows.
3) You are using the Configure VISA.vi, if it is not supported, which you have indicated you are not doing.
