I don't have a Windows 7 system to test this right now but it should work on Windows 7 according to this:  http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/10383

Do any AVIS throw this error?

If it' just with a specific AVI, what codec is used?

Did you also try to create an AVI in LabVIEW and then read it back?

Hi Pier,

I setup a Win7 system now with LabVIEW 2009 and VDM 2009 and was able to run the Read AVI example without any errors.

Due to the fact that you cannot read AVIs in general, indipendent of the codec, I would suggest to repair the VDM on your system.

Christian

Does it mean I've to reinstall Labview or there is a fastest way?

As a first step I would simply "repair" NI Vision 2009 under Windows control panel.

I've just repaired my installation but I get the same error. I wonder if it's a directx problem.
