Error 1172

Hello All,

I am trying to invoke a .Net assembly but i keep getting an error 1172: (.net exception occured). How do i get rid of this? Pls help out.

There are too many reasons why that would occur. Perhaps your assembly is throwing an error. Perhaps you are not passing the right datatypes. Perhaps you are not passing the right data. Perhaps you don't have the right version of .NET installed. Perhaps...

 

I think you get the point. Without more information we can continue to play this guessing game.  Or, you can try to do a search on 1172 and read over the various responses. Then you can post back if one of those threads did not answer your question and provide some actual details.

I have read through the other posts but it does not answer my question. After placing the .net constructor  of my Revt assembly on the block panel, the next thing i did was to get the property from the list of options. I traced the error and found out that it is coming from this property. I can't even continue the code because the error comes from the starting point. I also tried this on another computer but it is still generating the same error.

Pls, find attached the example, it will be easier if you have autodesk revit because that is the program that i am calling. Pls help out.

So this is actually a part of your original thread. You really should stick to the original thread so people know what you're talking about without having to rehash the whole story.

 

I'm sorry, but I don't have Revit.
