Hi,
I'm having this error: Error -70229 occurred at Property Node (arg 1) in nimc.createStraightLineMoveInstance.axis.vi:6620002->nimc.ex.straightLineMove.startStraightLineMove.axis.modeRelative.0.vi:2080001->Untitled 1.vi
Motion: A function call made to the motion controller timed out waiting for a response to an executed command. Verify that NI SoftMotion is installed to the target and that the ethernet cable is correctly connected.
When I search about property node arg1, VISA configure serial port is the results all about. But unlike to them, I don't have that VISA problem written on my error box.
Also I tried to install both labview NI softmotion module 2013 f2 and 2013 SP1 f1 in my labview 2013. And I'm not using any hardware. Why it is asking for that cable?
Please do help, thanks!

And what if I don't want to use a hardware, just to move my model in solidworks using LabVIEW alone? Does that mean it isn't possible?

Hi Audrey,
Check out this link on getting started using NI-SoftMotion with SolidWorks. This should help you setup your project to interface with SolidWorks.
