How did you uninstall LabVIEW? Through the package manager or through windows add/remove programs? Try doing it through the package manager if you didn't do that the first time. There is also a 'Repair' option in package manager which has worked for me on a couple of quirky bugs like this recently. It might be worth giving that a go.

Unfortunately the VI that is broken is part of the LabVIEW install and is password protected so you aren't going to be able to debug/fix it yourself.

A work around may be to create a blank project and then add a cRIO target manually by rclick on the project/new/target or device

Hello, thank you for your answer. I tried both options but neither worked for me.

Did adding a crio target to blank project not work either?

What is stopping you from adding it? Is the menu item not there, an error message or have you you got a yellow triangle with an explanation mark in it next to the crio target?

have you definitely installed both the real-time module and fpga module when you installed labview?

What's wrong with this?

You already have a project containing a host computer and a cRIO RT target, and you just found the option to add a FPGA target to your cRIO target…

What happens if you select the FPGA module and press activate?
