Error Loading lvdaq.dll

Hello Labview Members,

I am stuck in a huge problem here and I am unable to solve it. I would really appreciate if some one can help me with this.

I am right now using LabVIEW 7.1. I was checking Labview to see whether VISA drivers are present or not and since I couldnt find it, I wanted to install VISA drivers into it.

I installed NI VISA 4.0 -Windows 2000/XP/64-bit/XP. Since I am working with Windows 2000 professional and this said it was compatible with Windows 2000, I installed it. However the moment I installed it ( my computer is not yet restarted after the installation), the originally working DAQ VI's like "Write to a digital line"  or "Write to a digital port" started showing errors and is not working.

It says :  Error Loading "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\vi.lib\DAQ\lvdaq.dll".

Please help me solve this problem or atleast go back to the earlier state where I had working files. Right now I am not working with serial ports, but I wanted to install VISA to have them available for the future. However at this point I am working only with DAQ's and it is very important for me to have them working again.

Thanks a lot for your help

G

I'm not sure about why that's happening, but I'd recommend as a quick workaround you could try repairing the DAQ driver you've currently got installed. That would hopefully replace the missing DLL.

Alternatively, you could also call into NI Technical Support and ask them to E-Mail the DLL over to you, which shouldn't be too much hassle. The only problem is that if you did opt for this solution, you might receive an error asking for a new DLL that also could be missing once you try to run your VI again.
