Error from installation program on Windows 2000

Hello everybody,
I have created a program in LabView and then I wanted to spread it on some computers, so I have created the installation program from LabView installer creator. I wanted this installation program to install the RunTime libraries, too.
Then I run the install on another computer where the Runtime wasn't yet installed, and the installation program crashed. There was strange error - saying something about so called "Transform". I have searched into Windows Installer documentation and there is really something like "Transform" - this adds or replaces elements in original install database (for example, changes languages). And my installation program had problems with Transform - this is the exact error:
"D
EBUG: Error 2203: Database: 2055. Cannot open database file. System error -2147287038
1: 2203 2: 2055 3: -2147287038
Error with getting the Transform packet. Ensure that the path to the Transform packet is valid.
2055"

Seems the installer cannot find the Transform information?
Did you have also similar problem with your installations?

TIA,
Yazilim.

There was some problem when uninstalling/updating (don't remember
exactly) LV 6.0. Not exactly the as yours but anyway..

You might want ask from NI since our local office helped me out
with this one.

In case the link below isn't right go www.ni.com and search for
"transform paths". I am sorry my current news program won't
allows sending lines over 80 characters.

Juha, many thanks! It was just exact information which I needed! I have searched the ni.com and found info that French and German (which one I use) versions have a bug inside the Installer.

Hello
I also got the error-message ""error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid" when I want to install
LabView 6.0 (german) on Win2000(english, local language German(Austria)).
In this forum one solution is to remove the transform-data-setting in the registry, but I did not find the entry.

In my case, I found the solution:
My LabView installing CD is for the local language German(German), so I switched from German(Austria) to German(German) and it works.
Please do not ask me, what the difference is between German(German) and German(Austria), I only know that I am in Austria and I think
both language are the same. (or?), and after that I know there must be a difference between these local language settings for installing !

So, if the installation CD is german, switch the local language setting to German(German)

I hope this helps somebody
nice greetings from Austria
mike
