It should be a rare error, but I've received problems with 2 out of 3 different manufacturers of EtherCAT devices, making this seem common for NI & EtherCAT from my experience. It seems especially wierd when the same devices work well on non-NI controllers. I opened a ticket and will see where it takes me!

Hello
NI customer support modified the XML file for us and it worked. Sorry I am not sure what they modify. Give them a call they will help out.

Can you compare the modified xml with the original xml and post the difference. I have the same problem with AMC servo drives

Can you post your AMC servo drives' ESI file here? Maybe I can help you.

I'm having the same problem with a GE device, GE_EPXETC001.
Is there another solution other than modifying the XML file?

Can you please provide the ESI of the device as an attachement?

Sure, this is the file. I changed the extention to txt, because xml extention is blocked for upload

The ESI looks so far so good. I'm wondering what are the specific errors. Can you please capture a Wireshark log? You can follow instructions here.
