I'm trying to determin wether I can use my desktop PC as a real-time target or not. The onboard Intel ethernet chipset series 82566DM is not supported by LabView RT 8.5 so bought a Intel Pro/1000 GT PCI Ethernet Adapter with a Intel 82541PI chipset. According to the "Requirements for a PC as a Real-Time Target"-Document this chipset series is supported by Labview RT Version 8.5. Unfortunately when i boot the PC from the 'Desktop PC Utility' via USB and run the evaluation it states that there is no supported Ethernet Chipset!
Does anybody know this problem? Is there any solution except buying some other adapter-card?
In another thread to this topic from 03.09.2005 Ben Barry posted that 'users of gigabit [devices] should install with the license provided ETS PC deployment disks.'
Yet I don't have the RT Deployment license. Is there some kind of additional driver-bundle coming along with the license?
