Ethernet to RS 232

Hallo all,

did anyone try to connect to a serial device via a ethernet2serial
adapter??
We are trying to do this, using the ADAM 4571.

Also does anyone have expirience with Bluetooth (as serial connection)??

No experience with bluetooth, but I have used enet to serial converters before. Specifically, we used the one made by Black Box. The thing I liked about it was that the interface for talking to it was a telnet connection. The main thing to be on the look-out for is that the internet toolkit is rather spotty in places in terms of error handling. You can send a message and think all is well with the world but it didn't go through due to a low-level error that didn't get propagated.

I am working on creating a serial interface between bluetooth and a single board computer using Labview 6i. Let me know if you need more information on that.

What device do you use between the RS232 and the bluetooth? Just curious:)

It is a Microchip microcontroller, PIC 16F 872. HOpe that helps.

Sure. Email me. Make sure you have the virtual channels when configuring the BT module using LabView.

Hi people, please, I'm using ENET 232/2 device also, I will receive a serial signal, and I have to read it via ethernet in labview

I have to use VISA serial for to do this or is required a different block on labview?
