Evaluation version detected, install failed

When I attempt to install Labview on my new PC, I get a message saying that an evaluation version has been detected and the install fails.  However, this is PC is only a couple days old, and I cannot find anything that appears to be an evaluation version of Labview.  There are a few vi's present, which were copied over from my old PC.  The new machine is running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004.  Thanks for the help.

jtrout,

Does National Instruments Software appear in Add/Remove Programs?
Do you have a C:\Program Files\National Instruments\ folder?

If so then I would recommend trying to uninstall through Add/Remove Programs.

If not then it will probably be easier for you to contact National Instruments support directly (via phone or email) to get LabVIEW installed correctly.  Goto http://www.ni.com/ask/ to begin this process.

I tried all the suggestions I could find on the discussion forums (msiblast.exe, add/remove programs, registry, etc. but could not find any other NI software).  The problem seems to have been with the firewall protection, and the error message that was reported was inaccurate.  Rebooting with the firewall off solved the problem.  Now everything appears to be functioning properly.
